NOTORIOUS NAVVIES
Monday 20 – Friday 24 February
Come and find out about the people who built Fort Nelson – the navvies. There’ll be tonnes of fun for the kids with ‘navvy challenges’ and traditional Victorian crafts, plus you can find out all about the work of Florence Nightingale.

JUNIOR NAVVY CHALLENGE
Teams of young navvies will explore the Fort with our very own ‘19th-century navvy’ Bill, who will show them some of the incredible construction features of Fort Nelson. Then the hard work begins and the apprentices will have a go at wheelbarrow races, constructing keystone arches and loads more. But will they earn their pay?

Sessions start at 11am, 12 noon, 2pm and 3pm
£3.50 per child
Suitable for ages 3 – 12
Numbers are limited to 16 per session
Pay on the day. Tickets can be booked in advance by calling 01329 233 734 or by popping into the visitor centre.
